Youth Caddie Program

Golf is a game best played walking, and to honor that time-honored tradition as well as provide an opportunity to the local community, Desert Forest began offering caddie service in 2015. While modest goals were initially set for the program, it became popular with the membership and attracted young people interested in the game of golf. Since its inception, Desert Forest has had three caddies be awarded the prestigious Evans Scholarship through its partnership with the Western Golf Association and Evans Scholars Foundation.

As a caddie, you learn skills that apply throughout your entire life, such as timeliness, accountability, and teamwork. Our golf staff’s focus is to lead you to become the best version of yourself.

Prior work experience is not required to become a caddie, and Desert Forest staff will train you in all the skills needed to be successful. If you or someone you know may be interested in becoming a caddie, please contact the Desert Forest Golf Shop by calling 480-488-3527.
